Position Summary
Oversees the planning and implementation of varsity sporting events for the UGA Athletic Association and various SEC and NCAA Championship events hosted on campus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exist.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Walk or sit for extended periods of time.

- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

- Manage all operations surrounding various varsity athletic events, primarily Swim/Dive, and Volleyball.

- Manage facility operations at the Ramsey Center and Boyd Golf Center including repairs and upgrades that are needed at the facility.

- Create event plans with athletic trainers, facility, fan engagement and sports communications personnel.

- Correspond with game officials, Southeastern Conference officials and NCAA liaisons.
