SnapIT Solutions has an immediate opening for a Conference Planner to join our professional Conference Management Team. This position will report to a Senior Conference Planner. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented person with strong customer service skills and a positive upbeat attitude. This is a remote working position.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to plan all activities associated with assigned conference services contracts.
• Must be able to communicate in a prompt, professional manner with clients, attendees and vendors.
• Plan pre-conference and on-site activities including but not limited to: negotiations with facilities, speakers, contracted staff and vendors; procurement of conference materials; agenda management; food and beverage management; audio visual and event production management, manage event exhibitors; manage event sponsors; determine registration fees; efficiently use event registration software; develop signage and marketing materials.
• Perform post-conference activities including: participant evaluations, reports, budget reconciliation and certificates. Identify new vendors and/or innovative ideas to keep the team on the cutting edge of meeting planning services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in conference planning and event execution is required.
• CMP preferred.
• Government conference planning experience is a plus.
• Must have the ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
• Professional communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Must be a team player and require little supervision
• Must be a strong multitasker with the ability to prioritize and balance work tasks
• Must have the ability to quickly troubleshoot a variety of event planning situations
• Travel is required
