General Functions:
Responsible for selecting, training, assigning and supervising the event management staff, of the Sales & Event Management Division, to include conducting performance appraisals, initiating disciplinary procedures and maintaining performance records. This position reports to the Event and Exhibitor Services Manager and performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved.
Representative Duties/Assignments:
- Supervises event management including but not limited to selection, training, scheduling, monitoring independent work progress and providing technical, administrative and operational assistance and guidance.
- Communicates with clients, in advance and on-site to ensure anticipated service levels are being met.
- Conducts or participates in departmental meetings to improve client service levels..
- Increase customer satisfaction by building clients knowledge of the vast service options available at the OCCC.
- Involvement in establishing options and services made available to clients.
- Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Facility Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field. Four years of experience in a convention center, hotel property, convention service(s), or hospitality service and two years management or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience.
