Certified Meeting Planner

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop event plans, milestone schedules, logistics checklists, budgets, and run-of-show documents.
• Coordinate registration, participant records, speakers, venues, platforms, vendors, materials, and accessibility needs.
• Manage reminders, technical rehearsals, on-site or virtual support, and real-time troubleshooting.
• Coordinate travel-related information and support compliance with applicable CDC conference processes.
• Collect feedback, track actions, and prepare attendance, evaluation, and final event reports.
• Coordinate closely with facilitators, project staff, CDC, and partner organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing professional meetings, conferences, trainings, workshops, or stakeholder events, including end-to-end logistics, registration, vendors, technology, accessibility, participant communications, materials, budgets, and post-event reporting. Experience supporting federal or public health events is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting CDC, HHS, another federal health agency, a public health recipient network, or a comparable mission-focused organization.
• Certified Meeting Professional or equivalent credential.
