Certified Meeting Planner - CDCCertified Meeting Planner
Position Status: Contingent upon contract award.
Position Summary
Plan and execute compliant, accessible, and professionally managed virtual, hybrid, and in-person DNPAO meetings, trainings, workshops, conferences, and stakeholder events. This role supports planning and execution of DNPAO partner meetings, trainings, workshops, leadership academies, Tribal engagement events, and other virtual, hybrid, or in-person activities. The planner will manage schedules, registration, participant communications, accessibility needs, presentation coordination, technology, venues, vendors, travel-related information, meeting materials, run-of-show logistics, feedback collection, and final closeout reporting in coordination with CDC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop event plans, milestone schedules, logistics checklists, budgets, and run-of-show documents.
- Coordinate registration, participant records, speakers, venues, platforms, vendors, materials, and accessibility needs.
- Manage reminders, technical rehearsals, on-site or virtual support, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Coordinate travel-related information and support compliance with applicable CDC conference processes.
- Collect feedback, track actions, and prepare attendance, evaluation, and final event reports.
- Coordinate closely with facilitators, project staff, CDC, and partner organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing professional meetings, conferences, trainings, workshops, or stakeholder events, including end-to-end logistics, registration, vendors, technology, accessibility, participant communications, materials, budgets, and post-event reporting. Experience supporting federal or public health events is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting CDC, HHS, another federal health agency, a public health recipient network, or a comparable mission-focused organization.
- Certified Meeting Professional or equivalent credential.
