The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was founded in 1970 by parents of children living with type 1 diabetes with a singular mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Since that time, JDRF has grown to become the world's leading charitable funder of diabetes research, funding over $1.5 billion in diabetes research funding, including more than $107 million in Fiscal Year 2010.
