Company History
Douglas County Libraries have been blazing a trail and thriving in Douglas County for decades, due very much to the generous support, patronage and growth of our community. Since 2007, our circulation has increased more than 24% (4.5% annually), from approximately 6.5 million to more than 8 million items annually. Our seven locations serve more than 2 million visitors and 230,000 program participants every year.
We are excited to respond to our community’s growth and demand for innovative new library spaces and services by launching a multi-year campaign to fund and build three new libraries for our community.
Proposed new libraries will serve the Town of Parker, City of Lone Tree and City of Castle Pines. All are in great need of new library spaces to accommodate the needs of their expanding communities.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you! We look forward to building new and innovative libraries that will grow with our community for years to come.
